1. Jewelcrafting and Enchanting
This combination is the easiest way to make gold in The World of Warcraft.
As a jewelcrafter you can make 4 types of rings out of gems you gain from prospecting ore. Then you disenchant these items for enchanting mats.
The steps are as follows:
1. Buy as much Elementium or Obsidum Ore for a reasonable price on your server.
2. Prospect all of the ore to get green and blue quality gems.
3. Craft these 4 rings:
Alicite Pendant
Nightstone Choker
Jasper Ring
Hessonite Band
When creating these items you have a chance of creating a blue quality item, which can be sold on the AH anywhere from 50g-250g
4. Disenchant all the green quality items for enchanting mats and list them on AH.
Notes:
Carnellian and Zephyrite can be posted on AH if the price is low on your server they can be cut and vendored for 9g each.
Also you can either cut or sell all the blue quality gems you cut depending on what the prices are on your server.
You only need a skill level of 450 in enchanting to disenchant the jewelcrafting items.
2. Inscription and Herbalism
This combination has the potential to make you the most gold, if there is no or little competition on glyphs in your AH.
If you are on a low population server like Blood Furnace you will make 3,000-5,000 gold a day
As a scribe you mill herbs to get pigments which you turn into ink which is the main mat for glyphs.
Look on your server to see which glyphs don't have much competition and focus on selling those. You can make a lot of money if you are the only one on your server with a specific glyph.
Since you can only have 3 Major, 3 Minor and 3 Prime glyphs it only makes sense to sell the top 3 in each category for each class the link below shows the most popular glyphs for each each class and spec.

Also when the darkmoon faire comes each month the demand for darkmoon cards goes up very high. These cards can sell anywhere from 500g-5000g depending on which card you make..
3. Jewelcrafting + Enchanting + Alchemy + Inscription
This requires that you have 1 level 75+ character and one level 65+ character.
The level 65+ character has Enchanting and Inscription as its two professions
The level 75+ character has Jewelcrafting and Alchemy (Transmute Spec) as its two professions.
This combination will make you the most gold possible and does not require you to level a second character higher than level 68. I would recommend you make a DK as your second character since you will only have to level it 13 levels for it to start making you gold.
No glyph in the game requires a skill higher than 450 in inscription to make any glyph and you only need 450 in enchanting to disenchant all the Jewelcrafting items.
Here are the steps to maximize all the items and add value to all the mats.
1. Buy all cheap Elementium Ore and Obsidium Ore and prospect it.
2. Craft these 4 rings:
3. Disenchant all the green quality jewelcrafting items, post the blue quality jewelcrafting items on the AH
4. Transmute all your Carnellian and Zephyrite to blue quality gems
There is no cooldown on gem transmute and by being transmute spec you have a chance for proc which results in you getting 1-5 more gems.
5. Cut Living Ruby and Ocean Sapphire and post on AH
I have included inscription because it is the only other profession where you only need a level 68 character and 450 skill to make gold.
